HOPE 2021 V.2
Heading into 2021 with new colors, new vibrancy, new hopeful attitudes. Optimism ran rampant after the hellish 2020, only to have the Omicron variant rear its ugly head.
Robert Indiana was an American artist associated with the pop art movement. His "LOVE" print, first created for the Museum of Modern Art's Christmas card in 1965, was the basis for his 1970 Love sculpture and the widely distributed 1973 United States Postal Service "LOVE" stamp. His passing inspired me to create works honoring his legacy. This piece is a combination of digitally manipulated photography and Digital Art.
Version 2 accepted into the 2021 Juried Exhibition "Socially Distant Art: Creativity in Lockdown" at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum.
