Tulips For a Friend Duo
This piece is dedicated to a friend who was so emotionally impacted by the Covid pandemic that a personal crisis ensued. An indelible and dark moment, lonely and isolating…. one of the smaller things adding to her sadness was her Dutch Tulips being eaten by deer. Her blooming spring garden had been giving her the most pleasure and she was heartbroken to see the loss of her flowers. The Dutch Tulips in this piece are scattered, splattered, broken and crying to depict the emotional toll of the pandemic. My hope is that the viewer finds the sanctity, comfort and inspiration needed to heal a world in turmoil.
