A typical traffic jam on the majestic but infamous George Washington Bridge inspired this abstract series, “The Bridges I Burn.” The Carquinez Bridge is a cantilever bridge in Northern California. Built in 1927, it’s a fascinating criss-cross of open work steel. It was also the first bridge to be designed to resist seismic forces. If you look closely you will see vehicles on the bridge.
