I'm Not Famous
This photomontage is a powerful and intimate portrait of the "sticker shock" of urban life, where every surface holds a message, every corner holds a piece of history, and even a simple "I'm Not Famous" can become a profound statement in the heart of Brooklyn. “I’m Not Famous” is a statement on the 21st century pitfalls of stardom.
The sticker was a street-wise form of advertising by the band AJR, and their wonderful, campy song, “I’m Not Famous.” The song is a happy statement about not being famous and proposes that being examined in the public spotlight is hard enough, but fame in the digital age can be devastating.
