This piece is inspired by the American poet Emma Lazarus, known for the sonnet engraved on the Statue of Liberty, The New Colossus. Symbolizing the American immigration story and these very issues currently tearing our nation apart, her words burn into the very essence of the American psyche.
Accepted into the Juried Show RESIST at the Zenith Gallery in Washington, DC. and on view at my solo show "Say the Word" at the Westport Public Library, October 2020.
