Bouquets x Butterflies Dispersion White Ground

Butterflies symbolize the passage of time because of their transformational life cycle. Their beauty and grace remind us to appreciate the present moment and to cherish the time we have. 

The life cycle of a floral bouquet goes through different stages as well, from the moment it is harvested until it eventually fades away. 

Combining pictures of a birthday bouquet that was gifted to me with images of butterflies felt like an organic pairing. I utilized the dispersion technique to amplify the representation of impermanence.

32 x 32 prints on Moab Slickrock Metallic Pearl fine art paper. The metallic paper gives the white a beautiful pearly hue. Framed in white lacquer by Larson Juhl. Limited Edition of 25 per colorway.
