Ode to Robert Indiana: Yours, Mine and Ours Version 2
Yearning for unity in a world riddled with divisiveness, what better way to claim yourself a Global Citizen than in your own home? “Yours, Mine and Ours” is part of the “Ode to Robert Indiana” Series. Robert Indiana was an American artist associated with the pop art movement. His "LOVE" print, first created for the Museum of Modern Art's Christmas card in 1965, was the basis for his 1970 Love sculpture and the widely distributed 1973 United States Postal Service "LOVE" stamp. His recent passing inspired me to create work honoring his legacy.
Version 2 selected for the 2020 Connecticut Office of the Arts: “Together” Virtual Exhibition and the 2021 Show "Community" at the Westport Library.
