Love + Courage Blue

What started out as an art installation on Manhattan's Lower East Side has been reconfigured with more optimistic words than the original. The layered photos that comprise the background are bits and pieces of graffiti from the same neighborhood, colorized and manipulated to form the final piece. 

We often look for the big signs: Happiness, Truth, Love. They stand tall, catching all the light.

But if you look closer, tucked underneath the noise, there’s Discovery.

I’ve always felt that before you can reach the "destination" signs, you have to be willing to look down at your feet and realize you’re already standing on the path of finding yourself. This piece isn't just about choosing a direction; it's about the courage to keep looking for a new one.

"Love + Courage Blue" appeared in LACDA's 2018 Electron Salon (Los Angeles Center for Digital Art),Studio Montclair's 2019 Juried Show "Love + Fear," Montclair NJ,  and the "Summer of Hope" Solo Exhibition at the Gallery at Pearl Restaurant, Westport, CT, 2020.
