Surfacing Nos. 1-2-3

My son, an Aerospace Engineer, designs rockets and literally launches them into space, inspiring my fascination with flying objects (see "Bouncy Peonies" and "Zooming Blooms"). This series joyfully imagines surfboards taking flight from the water’s edge.

The surfboards are decked out with my floral photomontages, adding a fun Hawaiian vibe.

Although I live by the usually peaceful Long Island Sound, I dashed out to capture the crashing waves that roared to life during a wild Atlantic hurricane, providing me with the water images.
