Up Close and Personal Pastel Composite

This composition centers on the "heart" of the peony, utilizing a tight crop to deconstruct the flower's anatomy. The soft, sweeping petals in the periphery provide a ethereal frame for the dense, almost geometric cluster of the inner sepals and column.

This piece pulls the viewer right into the center of the flower. By getting that close with a macro shot, I've attempted to turn a standard peony into something that looks almost architectural.

The paper we recommend is Metallic Pearl Finish.

It has a unique pearlescent surface that would make the "Lemongrass" highlights  appear to glow from within.
